The mission of the Discipleship Training Auxiliary is to educate all members in discipling to all new members in accordance to God’s Holy Word.  The auxiliary is responsible for instruction concerning salvation, the Articles of Faith, and God’s expectations of Christian service.  New Member Orientation and Evangelism now fall under our Discipleship Training Auxiliary.

Evangelism

The mission of the Evangelism Committee is to introduce and/or increase the knowledge individuals have of Jesus Christ to those who have not accepted Him as their personal Savior.  The auxiliary uses neighborhood witnessing, outings and events such as quarterly workshops that are geared towards training and encouraging our mission members to become more effective in our everyday witnessing.

The goal of the New Member Orientation Committee is to build a biblical foundation for our new members and to teach each new member the basics of salvation and the basics of the Baptist tradition. The importance of developing a strong, solid biblical foundation and how it is needed for righteous living is stressed over a series of sessions prior to granting full membership in the church.

The mission of the Usher Board Auxiliary is to welcome our members and visitors during the church service.  They also are instrumental in ensuring decency and order of worship.

The mission of the Visitor/Welcome Committee is to ensure that all visitors are welcomed (and feels welcome) at NHBC services and special events, while supporting the overall ministry effort to increase and retain membership and serve the community at large.

The mission of the Children’s Church Auxiliary is to enrich our children’s lives through stories, film, worship, praise, learning and fellowship centered on Jesus Christ.   This is accomplished each Sunday except Communion Sunday for children ages 3 – 11. Likewise, the Youth Programs Auxiliary focuses on programming for all youth under the age of 18.
